" I spent 9 hours in this airport in March 2020. If you wait that long and want to sleep, the airport is a nightmare. Everything is super bright and noisy. I know there are options to sleep in hotels and Dubai is all about being luxurious, but at least they should reserve an area for people who want to rest. Apart from that the airport is big, spacey, has a lot of nice shops, the food is great, just don't stay there for more than 3 hours :D "

" Dubai Airport is incredible, it was very quick and efficient throughout the departure process. Excellent service from Emirates and the ground staff. The airport shopping is world class and offer so much choice. The wifi is very easy to use and incredibly fast. At peak times the arrivals process and customs is very busy, however you are dealt with quickly compared to other international airports. "

" At Dubai Airport, I felt very safe. There were multiple guards and many security services you have to go through before and after getting on the plane. The duty free shops were quite expensive and I found a very limited amount on dining areas. Unfortunately all the washrooms around the airport were all full and lines took up to ten minutes just to pee. The airport is very clean though and it was nice passing by. "

" The airport is extremely clean. Has incredible amount of shops and the people are quite friendly. Being from FL, sometimes it's easier to get a connection in Dubai when traveling to Europe or Asia. Dubai has incredibly strict laws when it comes to narcotics and prescription drugs.
Many drugs that are prescribed here are highly regulated or banned in Dubai. This makes traveling to the country and even to the airport a little bit more complicated. You should check if your prescription medications requires a doctor letter notarized and or certified letter from your state.
What happens if you don't have said paperwork? If you are polite and respectful, they will take your prescription medications and allow you to proceed. If you need said medication, they will allow you to keep them, put you under security and force you to return to the nation you flew in from.
If you are a jerk. They will arrest you. Even if you are getting a connection, you will probably need to go through security again. Having the proper paperwork will make your life easier. Public intoxication is frowned upon and have narcotics in your system but not on you is just like having them on you. So be advised.
The extra step you need to go through is the reason for only 4 stars. Getting a letter certified from the state takes some time. It would be nice if only a notarized letter from your doctor is all you need. For some medicine it is.
Besides that, it's an amazing airport. Oh yeah, they are big on cash. Credit cards are accepted at places but it would be wise to have some cash on hand. "

" The point for checking our boarding passes 3 times within 4 feet seems so ridiculous. Not to mention having to go through security 3 times and take laptops, etc out of your bags so many times on a connection flight! Seriously need to get more organized. Atlanta airport is the busiest airport in the world and can do way better. "

" One of the best airports I've been to. The staff is always busy to keep the place neat and clean.
The airport is following international standards so you don't hear announcements anymore and have to rely on electronic display boards to get updates for flight schedules which is really a pain as they do not update it on time. If your flights get late, and you don't find your flight schedule updated on board, the staff gets irritate soon on inquiring them.
The procedures are quick and easy. Dubai duty free gives you a good shopping experience as well. "

" Dubai International airport is truly fascinating. Esp terminal 3 is magnificent.
This humongous airport offers many options for shopping and eating. There are also few paid VIP lounges available for economy class passengers. There's a five star hotel located in terminal three as well as paid shower services, lockers, swimming pool.
The only down side which I personally observed is the customer services, often airport representatives are not really helpful. They require more training so that they can be helpful and deal with the customers in a polite manner.
But overall flying from or to Dubai international airport is always an amazing experience. "

Best terminal is Terminal 3 (Emirates terminal), that is new and modern, full of shops and restaurants, including luxurious lounges, separate floors for first and business class passengers.
Terminal 1 is the older (but not so much) terminal for most of the airlines, with plenty of duty free shops and cafes.
Terminal 2 is for the other destinations (including some low cost companies) and has less space, shops and cafes, but it has been recently renewed. "
