In December 2002, the Council of Europe Information Office was founded in Yerevan, Armenia, according to the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers Resolution (99) 9 on the Status of the Council of Europe Information Offices that was adopted by the Committee of Ministers on 28 July 1999. The aim of the information office is to inform individuals, NGOs and political institutions of the activities of the Council of Europe and the values pursued by the Organisation.
