Modern decision-taking relies on information. Activities like urban planning, natural resource extraction or disaster management generate an increasing demand for reliable, updated information about our Earth. This demand is still covered by monolithic, large satellites, at a high cost and with relatively long response times. We will develop a constellation of small satellites, each carrying a Synthetic Aperture Radar capable of producing high-resolution images from which a lot of information about the ground can be obtained. We will enter the observation and remote-sensing market with a solution that follows the space industry trend (smaller, distributed systems with commercial components) but uses this trend for an application that has still been ignored by new space startups.
