In the Hawaiian language, Mana‘o can mean any of the following: Thought, idea, belief, opinion, theory, thesis, intention, meaning, suggestion, mind, desire, want; to think, estimate, anticipate, suppose, mediate, deem, consider. Thus everything in Manaʻo world can serve to help bless and guide you through your day.

Manaoworld has evolved from humble beginnings that date back 29 years ago in 1985 as a home based craft business owned and operated by Tutu Alice Richmond and Maile Letuli formally named Hawaiian Connection.

As time has passed and seasons change, life has proven to show its love and blessings through fond memories of our beginnings. When you think Aloha/love you will always see, feel and receive love. When you think Ohana/Family – yours will be blessed, When you reflect on Faith/ Mana'o'i'o – your faith will be strong. My goal through manaoworld, is that each of my crafts and jewelry stir up good thoughts within you that will bless the world you live in.

Being a Kanaka Maoli (of Hawaiian Ancestory) you will find that each of my pieces, whether it be a craft or jewelry have a little something from the islands. (lauhala, a shell, a kook nut, koa wood, island memory, artifacts, history) If you have been to any of the Polynesia Islands, you see beauty everywhere and may that appreciation be stirred within your memory and or thoughts as you shop through my store. If you too are from the islands, may you be reminded of the blessings we share in our rich rich heritage.
