This cute little Aruban puppy, a mere 8 weeks old, is now in Toronto, Canada with its happy owners. Rescued by Sgt. Peppers Friends, it is one of the lucky ones. Just before the pup went to the airport in its bench, it received a canine send-off by Griffin, the fabulous dog who is enjoying a star status at Wonders Boutique Hotel in the Emmastraat.

Griffin instantly fell in love with the beige-and-white puppy - he is going to miss his little friend!

A heartfelt `thank you' to the wonderful guests at Wonders who adopted this lovely puppy. Masha danki!

Wonders hosts extraordinary book presentation

Wonders Boutique Hotel was the perfect location for painter Anita Seuren's book presentation. This work of love, titled `Het Glazenhuis' (the glass house), is a collection of paintings by Anita's students, to which she added personal texts and her own works on canvas. The evening was filled with laughter and memories: Anita exchanged Aruba for Holland last year, and she had not met her students until the event at Wonders on Frid...ay, July 8. Oohs and aaahhs were her reward.

Guests of Wonders embrace sponsoring project for kids

The guests of Wonders Boutique Hotel are great! They have embraced a small sponsoring project of the hotel and donations are already coming in.

A sign at the door states what the sponsoring is all about: it helps pay for extra tutoring for schoolkids in San Nicolas. These children need the extra tuition for a number of reasons: they have been ill and are behind at school, the parents do not speak Dutch or English, the fam...ily is too poor and/or there is no interest in furthering the eduction of the children. The children who will benefit from the project have been earmarked by their teacher as being smart enough to use this opportunity.

Brigitte, who works at Wonders, is pictured in this photo She makes her guests aware of the wonderful project and tells them about a young student who is receiving daily extra tuition and who is a success story about to happen. We hope that many more will follow! Thank you, dear guests!
