" Ahsanullah Institute of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (AITVET) is the first of its kind in the private sector, which have been offering mid-level tech nical education with an innovative delivery method in Bangladesh. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Bangladesh Technical Education Board and Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology in 1995 to offer Diploma in Engineering Programme.The institute offers the academic programmes in 7 (seven) dis- Civil Technology iii) Computer Technology iv) Electrical Technology v) Electronic Tech- nology vi) Chemical Technology and vii) Textile Technology leading tothe award of Diploma-in-Engineering. The programmes are open to the candidates with SSC or its equivalent qualifications, irrespective of age or year of passing the examination. Sinna tha programmes are on gratarl in the programmes. This innovative aspect of the programmes has opened up new opportunities to those who aspire to attain or improve their skills and competence in technology. The duration of the programme is now 4-year and the semester final examinations are held under Bangladesh Technical Education Board. "
