WEConnect and City Alo Entrepreneurship Skill Development Program at NSUPurposeCity Alo Entrepreneurship Certification ProgramThe purpose of this project, sponsored by The City Bank with patronization from the World Bank, is to help entrepreneurs at the very early stage to set up their businesses, understand the basic business functions, good business practice, and eventually to grow to be a successful business organizations. The training program spans 10-11 weeks, and the content includes marketing decisions, financial decisions, control, ensure profits while also understanding the limits of what can be done and what should not be done. There are guest experts from the business sector and the focus is more on practical issues rather than theoretical issues.Interested entrepreneurs should call NSU and also City Alo office of The City Bank. Students normally are required to pay a fee of Taka 5,000, the remaining balance of the cost of the program is borne by The City Bank.WEConnect Women Entrepreneurs Skill Enhancement programThis program is for women business owners operating a business in the formal sector and emphasizes the development of women business skills to expand their presence in the B-to-B sector. This programs deals with more advanced material, and significant part of the program is to develop confidence, presentation skills, learning to pitch a business for very short time window. The students are expected to improve their chances of obtaining finance by becoming more credit worthy. The program is built on eight 2.5 hour modules. This program is absolutely free and paid for by the WBG through WEConnect International. The classes are day long and normally held on Friday-Saturday, next Friday Saturday.Participants must have a minimum of one full year of experience in operating a business in the formal sector and have bank accounts and Trade License. City Alo Graduates are eligible to enroll in the program
