" Scam!
Purchased an Omega Speedmaster Reduced in "mint condition".
I sent it to the official Omega store (Schaap& Citroen in Maastricht). They checked the watch from the inside and checked the papers.

The experts at Schaap & Citroen concluded (and provided me with official Omega certificates) that major parts of the watch are replicas and not part of the original watch.

The papers were fake so the were completely worthless, the watch was unpolished so not in Mint condition at all. When I told all of this to mister Simon, the response was very little.

I am going to the police one of these days to make a case out of this. "

" I think it is unfortunate that the seller responds to negative reviews by writing the 'review is fake'. I wish I had seen these reviews before placing my order because my experience matches theirs, almost identically.

I was sold a watch, told that it would arrive by a particular time and that it had been serviced. The watch arrived later than advised, it stopped working twice in the first 48 hours and did not have an original clasp. The manufacturer confirmed that the watch had never been serviced. The manufacturer inspected the watch and also observed that it stopped working after being wound.

The seller insisted that I did not understand how mechanical watches work (I'm a 49 year old watch enthusiast). He also sent me on a wild goose chase where he wanted a letter from the manufacturer confirming their observations. Unusually, the manufacturer was willing to do so directly to the seller if the seller contacted the manufacturer. The seller never got in touch.

The seller also attempted to flout the European Distance Selling Regulations (the law that governs these transactions) when I invoked my right to return the watch and request a refund. Although he eventually agreed, it was only under threat of legal action.

I cannot urge you strongly enough to exercise high caution in buying from this seller, especially if you are buying remotely (as I did). I also urge you to seek independent verification of his claims to ensure that you are not left in a difficult position with someone who is ultimately unprofessional, obdurate and arguably dishonest.

The seller has responded by saying "You tried to defraud, you ordered us and received a watch for 2300 € in very good condition, just after you contacted us that the watch had problems and you asked us to refund 600 €, when we asked you a proof that the watch had a problem you threatened to make us a bad advertisement on the internet if we do not refund the 600 € and finally we refused and we took back the watch, you clearly tried to fraud 600 € from us, pay attention to who should do business with this person."

This is untrue. Were it the case that the watch works, he would produce evidence of this - he will not, because it does not. Conversely, I have the attached photographs that demonstrate my trip to the boutique verifying my statements. It also indicates a replacement clasp on the basis that the clasp supplied was inauthentic, according to the manufacturer's careful inspection.

This is an extremely unusual post for me, but I felt compelled to make it because I genuinely believe the seller to be dishonest and operate in a manner that disregards the law. If the seller says that I have tried to extort 600 Euros from him otherwise I would write a bad review about him, I implore him to produce evidence of this. He will not, because I have not and therefore no such evidence exists.

I believe this person to be deeply unpleasant, behave unlawfully and unprofessionally. I am able to support all of this with evidence. Is the seller able to evidence any of his claims? "

" My experience with this store was nothing short of disgusting. I ordered a rare gold Breitling Emergency, which, according to them was in mint condition, fully polished, and running properly, with a bracelet long enough to fit a 20cm wrist circumference. I have a 22cm wrist, so I was banking on the fact that I would have to add two links to it, but they are available from the factory. When I received the watch, I saw that it was not polished at all, and actually had dirt accumulated around the bezel and on the back of the case. Unfortunately, everything else they had told me about the condition of the watch was a flat out lie. The transmitter did work when tested, but the tamper-evident seal was missing. The watch module was behaving erratically, and after a few days stopped working altogether. Worst of all, the bracelet was only 18mm long, and I would have to add four links to make it fit me. When I complained about this to Simon Djanaschwili, the store manager who had arranged the deal for me, he said that it just needed a battery change, which costs about $5. This is a lie, because the battery on this model is so hard to get to, that it must be replaced at the dealer, which costs about $150. He refused to answer my complaints about the length of the bracelet. I stated that I wished to return the watch, as is my right under their 14-day return policy, but Simon said that I would have to pay return shipping, import duties, and fees. This is also a lie, because returned merchandise does not incur import taxes, but moreover, I should not have to pay out of my own pocket to return merchandise that was not as described. This store deliberately deceived me and is now refusing to make things right. I am currently in the process of disputing the charges through Visa and I would advise anyone considering buying from this store, especially internationally, to think twice about it. These people cannot be trusted, and no bargain is worth this kind of aggravation. "

" They ripped me off. Paid a top price for a sub, was promised "like new in box with papers" received a poorly polished sub without proper paperwork and missmatched box and instructions. No official rolex documentation, Missing links and a deeply gouged bezel etc... Would not give me instructions for refund, now I am stuck with a watch that agrivates me and reminds me how terrible some people can be every time I look at it! "
