In 1964, Kivoga College was established as a teachers' training college by Dr. Daniel GUTEKUNST. In the fall of 2016, Kivoga College became the Burundi Adventist University (BAU).Kivoga College (16K from Bujumbura the capital of Burundi) serves as the main campus, and Jabe is a satellite campus in Bujumbura.In December 2016, Dr. Marc-Daniel GUTEKUNST was appointed to serve as the first Chancellor of the Burundi Adventist University (BAU).On July 5th, 2017, Dr. GUTEKUNST resigned from the Chancellorship. In September 2017, Dr. Willard MUNGER was appointed to serve as BAU Vice-Chancellor.
