Founded in 1999 to preserve and promote the unique history and heritage of St. George's, Bermuda, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Historic Towne of St. George and its Related Fortifications are outstanding but undervalued Bermuda national treasures for culture, education, the environment, and the economy. As this is poorly known, the importance and its potential are overlooked. The St. George's Foundation wishes to change this perception, and we aim to raise the profile of Bermuda's World Heritage Site at home and abroad. To do this, we will seek collaborative agencies and interested parties and bring them into the fold to look after and protect our Island's World Heritage Sites for future generations.
