The hospital was named after and officially inaugurate by Her Majesty Paduka Seri Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam on Tuesday, 28th August 1984 / (1 Zulhijjah 1404).
