Through "Una Mano Para Mamá" (A Helping Hand for Mom) we seek to help the most vulnerable women and mothers in La Paz, Bolivia in the current battle against the coronavirus, as well as in the uncertain times to come. We seek to raise funds to prepare and deliver kits with basic sanitary products and non-perishable goods to the most affected mothers.A kit covers the basic food needs of a family of 3 for at least 2 weeks, as well as maintaining hygiene as a preventive measure for COVID-19. Additionally, through this project we encourage moms to stay at home instead of exposing themselves when acquiring their daily food, avoiding the possible contagion of the most important pillar of the home: our moms.The average cost of each kit is 100Bs. (the equivalent of around 15USD). We have expanded our goal and are trying to reach as many as 400 families (which is about 1200 people).
