Located in Gaborone, the capital city of Botswana, Maitisong has been extensively used by the school and community since opening its doors on the 22nd March 1987, welcoming the best in local and international talent. The annual Maitisong Festival gives the public an opportunity to witness and be inspired by new theatre, dance, poetry and music. Maitisong started the dawn of a new theatrical age in Botswana, has made its mark in a way that founders could not have foreseen, and has established itself as an arts leader in the region.
