TSOGA Africa Theatre Works is one of the pioneering organizations in the use of Theatre and Peer Education as means of creating broad public awareness of STDs /HIV/AIDS epidemic, any NATIONAL CONCERNS ISSUES and labor force empowerment in the prevention and control of these problems in Botswana. Over the past three (3) years Tsoga Africa has facilitated capacity building for small IEC groups, mobilized, organized and trained community school dramas and mobilized such clubs to respond correctly and meaningfully to challenges posed by the epidemic. Today it is a coalition of six (6) secondary schools around Gaborone and one technical college (GTC). It is recognized countrywide as an out of school cum full-time organization of cultural workers in the field of creative and performing arts in Botswana. The creative and Performing Arts are a course that draws its content from DRAMA, MUSIC, POETRY, DANCE, Art and Craft.
Our special focus is to use Theatre integrating Creative and performing Arts so that our ‘black people’ develop intellectual and practical skills that will enable to fit into their society well and become employable and productive members. The required skills are developed through ACTIVE PARTICIPATION in all possible aspects of social development. Our clear mandate is to sensitize on issues of national concern like HIV/AIDS, WOMEN EMPOWERMENT, ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS, TOURISM, WILDLIFE CONSEVATION, CULTURAL PRINCIPLES, and DISASTERS etc for the betterment of our country’s atmosphere at the same time promoting Artistic Excellence by 2016.

Tsoga Africa and Bana Ba Metlha Theatre Groups (MAKGAOLAKGANG PROMOTIONS) working in collaboration with Maitisong present an event dubbed Makgaolakgang Charity Challenge, JOHN MARUMO vs GABRIEL MODISE. This event is organized in recognition of the need to capacitate and up skill other local theatre and performance groups in Botswana. Sorilatholo Group has been identified as beneficiaries for the proceeds of... this concert. Funds raised from the show will enable a group of established artists from Tsoga Africa and Bana Ba Metlha to travel to Sorilatholo in the Letlhakeng Sub District to run training workshops for the performers in the area.
