Win Win is a new mobile app that uses AR to gamify philanthropy!Our goal is to raise money for the amazing charities that alleviate global suffering, and gamification is a great way to get people motivated and encourage them to support the causes they care about!After users download the app and make an account, they'll donate money to a collective pot that's region-specific, like NYC or Tokyo. Then, once that pot gets large enough, the money in the pot is distributed ("dropped") in the form of virtual coins that users can see on their phones through augmented reality! These "Karma Coins" can then be donated to charities of the user's choice – and those who find the most coins can win perks and prizes! This way, users are earning rewards for themselves while simultaneously raising money for those who need it most – it's a Win Win!The philosophy behind our app is based on a commitment to the principles of Effective Altruism, which aims to maximize the impact of every dollar donated so that it can do the most good in the world. For instance, it only takes $2.50 to save a life through the Against Malaria Foundation by providing insecticide coated mosquito nets to those in high risk areas of Sub-Saharan Africa that effectively prevents them from contracting the deadly disease.
