" Great horseback riding experience and beautiful scenery. Spent a couple hours riding on their property and really enjoyed the time. John and Carolyn were very gracious, and we got to see some of her original artwork displayed in the house! We will definitely be back. "

After leaving Belize City we visited the zoo and went on to this Lodge. It's family owned by John and Carolyn Carr and they are there to welcome you. The family runs the property and work around the hotel like the rest of the staff. The wife is an artist and her paintings show the life in Belize. The hotel has tons of pets and not just dogs and cats. There are wild birds, monkeys and horses.
It's a fantastic place to be and the meals are and extra fee. Each room is unique, colorful and comfortable. They are all designed differently.
My favorite part of my stay here was riding the magnificent horses around the farm. I was so lucky to pet the Jaguar. I miss this hotel and hope that you ask me about it when you plan your trip to Belize. Check out the picture: That's me petting TACA.
