" I wish I could've given this place more stars. It was so relaxing n peaceful. The owners were so welcoming including their pets. From the treehouses to individual cabins located through out their property.... I would come back to Belize and stay here again in a heartbeat. It was the PREFECT way to end my Belize trip "

" I stayed here back in 2013 and recently went back again. The most relaxing partially outdoor kitchen, dining, and lounging common area. The whole property is backed up on the river (they offer river tubing as well). The peaceful property is a relaxing getaway. Just a few minutes from San Ignacio - there is plenty to do. The proprietors are extremely well connected so they are extremely helpful with tips on what to do, which tours, and which guides. They are also a very fun couple to hang out with- I've hung for countless hours speaking with the owners and other guests. The most relaxing place in Belize, hands down, an escape in the jungle. "

" This Parrot Nest Lodge is exactly what they describe on the side and just what we wanted! It’s like a slightly exotic and comfortable summer camp. Theo and Marcus are great host. They are super helpful w/ recommendations about the area, good guides and they best sites to see. The cabins are simple but comfortable w/ nice porches if you want to hang out in private. We really enjoyed hanging out at the lodge which is pretty much a covered deck w/ tables chairs and hammocks. (They also have a nice selection of books - always a plus) It was fun meeting all the different people traveling through Belize and hearing their experiences. The lodge looks over the river which is a pretty sweet view, plus there is always a dog or cat to pet. The food was delicious and super reasonable. The evenings meal is served family style but breakfast is cooked to order - usually eggs or French toast. Get the omelet w/ vegetables - yum! There are plenty of expensive and fancy resorts around and this in not a luxury accommodation but it is friendly, comfortable and a great value. "

" Great place to recharge your batteries.. great location, clean and friendly with awesome food. Met and made some great new friends. Owners are so welcoming and accomodate any special requirements. They can organise everything or tell you how to do it or you can just sit back and chill in the spectacular surrounds. Totally recomend a stay here. "

" Parrots nest Bullit tree Falls
Parrots nest is a beautiful tropical garden, where you can stay in treehouses or in small houses with their own douche and toilet.
Toilets and douches are very clean and there is a veranda where you can chill out in nice hammocks, with a magnificent view on the river ( especially in the evening just after sunset the grass is covered with glow-worms and looks like a Christmas picture )
Breakfast and dinner is awesome and the cook is a real chef
But what we enjoyed the most was the hospitality from Theo and Marcus
Theo will always make time for you, to give you, the best trip advise you can get.
She knows Belize as the back of her hand and knows the best guide for every daytrip and will call him to pick you up.
We had a real magnificent time in Parrots-nest and will not easy forget our stay in this beautiful place

" I had a wonderful time staying at the Parrot Best Lodge. The host are wonderful and can direct you toward any adventure you desire. You can purchase breakfast, dinner, or drinks at the nest and pay your tab at the end of your stay. Dinner is held around 7 and many of the guest gather to eat and talk about their excursions of the day as well as what they've planned for the next day. The cabins are the size of one or two beds, some with bathrooms. It is worth noting that you will hear geckos, wild dogs, and roosters at different times throughout the might, which is interesting but may be difficult for some. Getting to town involves a car ride and there are buses and taxis available a 5 minute walk down the road. Most excursions include pick up and drop off at the Parrots Nest and those whom provide transportation are often great sources of information. There is a river that runs around the Nest, which is wonderful for tubing. The hosts' dogs were great guides to a common drop in spot along the river, about 20 minutes walk from the cabins. They were happy to rest along the laps of many tubing guest and hitch a ride back home, as well. I really had a magnificent time staying at the Parrot Nest and highly recommend spending time there on your trip to the jungle of Belize. "

" Parrot Nest Lodge is a fun, eccentric spot full of travelers, gracious host and beautiful landscape. We stayed in the treehouse rooms which were fantastic (albeit small) and a ton of fun. The river is just steps away and the jungle is all around. Breakfast and dinner are served daily and are cheap and delicious and coffee, water and juice is included. The owners are kind and exceptionally helpful and each night at dinner see who wants to do which tours and helps to arrange them. Great spot to check out and stay if you plan on going to the jungle. " I loved this place. Nestled away in the jungle, this quiet, peaceful retreat offers cabins and treehouses. Theo was so hospitable. The rooms are lovely. My husband and I stayed in one of the cabins. Next time we'll try a treehouse. During breakfast, iguanas sun themselves on the bank of the Mopan river. Each day you can be driven up the river and tube down. Thinking about it relaxes me.

Staying here is a memory I'll have for life! I'd love to go again! "
