" Not much of a secret anymore, but Secret Beach is beautiful. The drive isn't easy, but doable in a cart, just follow the signs once you hit dirt on the road north out of San Pedro. We sat at the Secret Paradise Beach bar- if you buy a drink or two (try their Conch Fritters - best on the island!), you can sit on the beach in the lounge chairs. Good swimming, and the view is amazing. "

" Mediocre beach on the opposite side of the island from most of the hotels and resorts. It's a great golf cart ride to get out there, but once you're there, there are only 2 real restaurants / bars that have anything. On the drive you'll go through miles of swamp like land and the view isn't anything spectacular. I preferred the east side of the island where you had views of the reef. "

" Okay, lets get this straight. The drive on a golf to Secret Beach is treacherous. On our way, we ran into a local who had his thumb out "hitchhiking". Asked him if he needed a lift and sure enough he was a bartender who was late for work! During the lift he gave the inside scoop on all the going ons of the area and Secret Beach. The area out to Secret Beach will eventually (key word there) get a road and electricity. It is a subdivision that has been divided as we saw two houses out there that are totally off the grid...wow. Anyway, got to the beach via the signs and and came upon the beach. WOW! Crystal clear waters, clean, calm and you can wade out forever! I can't remember the bar we hung out but it was to the right and food was good and the drinks were cold. In the distance you can Leo Dicaprio's island which just broke ground. Don't listen to negative reviews of Secret Beach and GO! GO early and come back early as you DO NOT want to drive back in the dark. "

" It's not a secret anymore but this is the best piece of paradise at ambergris Caye. It's a long haul with your golf cart to get here, and it's pretty bumpy, but worth it. The bar on the far right is the best one by far. "

" The rough road is so worth the drive to see this beautiful area. the food vendors are courteous and the limited food is super yummy. Everything is run on a generator fyi. "
