UBCc350 is a student organization at UBC that aims to use the power of collective action to promote climate justice. As part of the global divestment movement, we successfully compelled UBC to divest its endowment from the fossil fuel industry in 2019. UBcc350 also organized the historic 2019 Climate Strike, and works in solidarity with Indigenous land defenders in opposition to projects like the CGL and TMX pipelines. Through our campaigns, we work to challenge the patriarchal, capitalist, and colonial systems that ensure that some communities disproportionately feel both the negative impacts of extractivism and climate change.
