Aikido is a dynamic and powerful martial art that does not rely on the strength of the practitioner for its effectiveness. It emphasizes smooth, circular techniques that turn the force of the attack against the attacker, typically ending in throws or pins.

Aikido is not a competitive sport, but a martial art that can be practiced by anyone, regardless of age, size, strength or gender. We do not practice offensive techniques such as punching or kicking, but learn how to safely deal with such attacks without harm to ourselves or our attackers.

Classes are held in the Fitness Centre Studio of the McCain Student Centre, Mount Allison University, and are taught by David Rogosin sensei (shodan).
