" I don't know why this place has such bad review's. I almost went to Hamilton because of them, glad I didn't. This was the quickest most efficient service ontario I've ever been to and I've been to everyone single one in Hamilton. The lady I had was super helpful and friendly. All the counters had someone working them, so rare at a service ontario. The line moved quickly, I was in and out 15min 20min max. Take everything you need and you shouldn't have any problem. If you don't know what you need look online or call. Make sure you are going to the right place before hand. If you go there and stand in line to find out you didn't take the proper stuff or you should be some where else that's not their fault it's yours. "

" The employee I dealt with was wonderful and understanding, The problem was when management got involved. Management is horrific here. It's a money grubbing franchise that charges you a dollar if THEY want a photocopy of a death certificate to cancel a photo ID card. I will travel out of town before I return here to feed this management. At a dollar a photocopy, they are making about $490 profit non a bolt of 500 sheets of paper. Thievery. I have yet to hear of anyone leaving here satisfied. Ditch the franchise. "

" Went on a Friday afternoon around 3 and was surprised to find only a small line. The woman who helped me wasn't the friendliest at first, but after a couple jokes and a smile she lightened up. I would recommend if you have to visit this location, try to be kind and patient with the staff. It will go a long way and make the experience better for all. "

" Unbelievable :( - I waited for two hours until my number came, which is fine. I booked a G test and I waited for additional 4 hours for an opening, there was already some no show ups for the drive test so I was waiting with confidence that I will get the test done. The person was taking incoming drive tests called me and said you were late and you missed your tern. He completely created this narrative out of his imagination. Because, I was on a stand by and after 6 hours of waiting I was sure to do the test. I told him that I was here all the time and I was not booked for a specific time to miss it, and this is the first time he called me. He wouldn't even look me in the face, so he said you lost your fee (which turned out to be false). He was so fixated to leave early, and would do nothing for me. Not even properly speaking about the process. After all this is a government agency.
He wasted my entire day, provided me with false information and I eventually came back before they closed coz the whole thing didn't make sense. Guess what he put the CLOSE sign on his desk at 4:15pm because I was in the line up. One more thing at first when I came to him I said Hi How are you with a smile? He didn't even say anything.
So disgusting - We pay for all of this through taxes and fees "

NEVER a smiling face, barely a hello that is audible, don't dare to ask a question. There are never more than 2 people working at the counter and the minimum wait time is 20 minutes. That is barely customer service in my mind.. "

" Pretty slow service. But if you're coming here and expecting them to roll out the red carpet for you and offer you a coffee while they service your needs you are Delusional. Honest working people who are likely underpaid to deal with whiners and complainers like us. Offer them a smile. Wish them a happy day and your experience will be better. " I lost my wallet and needed to replace my photo I.D (driver's license). Thus I went to Service Ontario on October 17, 2016, got my temporary license, and I was explicitly told they'd mail me my photo I.D license in a few weeks.
Four weeks later and nothing's arrived. I call and ask the Service Ontario minion why my license hasn't shown up yet and I'm told it takes 4-6 weeks, which is perfectly fine.
I went again to Service Ontario- as it's week 7- and ask the teller why my license hasn't shown up yet. She calls around and finds out it's not coming because it's going to expire December 23/ 2016 ( though I applied like two months ago) which f***s me over because I've been desperately waiting for some form of photo I.D so I can finally access my bank, credit cards, passport renewal, etc. Would have been nice if Service Ontario was more professional and gave me what I paid for (a 35$ photo I.D, not some temp license piece of paper when I don't even own a damn car to drive lol)
Service Ontario isn't in the mood to give me what I paid for, and I'm not in the mood to give them a rating better than 1/ 5. Especially for the lack of any warning or notice so I at least know it's not coming.
(Plus, a technical note, their MTO system tends to go down often, as the first time I went I couldn't do anything because their dollar store system was down)
Anyways wish me luck finding some photo I.D so I can finally have access to some of my money and buy some food to survive on... "

" Every time I go there it's lined up . Two people at most at any given time at the service counter .. If you need to just ask a question you must wait in line . The hours are scandulous. 9 till 5 or one night 9till 6,come on people work.staying open till at least 8 one night a week ,this is 2016. Everything in our economy has better hours than this job,that is supposed to serve the public....what a joke ! And open Saturday yikes everyone has to go then because ....they can't go during the week they are at real jobs.,that serve the public properly. We continue to pay increasing rates on our renewals and taxes ,but no extra services on this establishment . "
