Josh was born and raised in the Kingston area. He grew up playing competitive soccer for 11 years both with Kingston United (formally known as KYSA) and Cataraqui Clippers as well played 3 years with the Grenadiers Football Club. Josh was a 2006 graduate of Regiopolis Notre Dame. He played both soccer and football for Regi and was considered to be a respected and experienced player. Regiopolis won OFSAA soccer in 2006 and attended soccer OFSAA 2007.
Josh was actively scouted for both soccer and football. He went on to Bishops University on a full athletic scholarship to play football for the Gaiters. Josh was the starting kicker for all 4 years, won both Rookie of the Year, 2007 and Special Teams Player of the Year 2010 where he went on to play with The Hamilton Ti-Cats. Josh graduated from Bishops University with a degree in Environmental Studies and a double minor in History and Psychology with emphasis on Sport Psychology. While with the Ti-Cats, Josh received extensive professional level physical training in resistance, Olympic lifts, as well as participating in yoga weekly throughout the year. He also has a large amount of knowledge in proper use of Foam Rolling and Stretching Techniques. In 2013, Carleton University Ravens actively recruited Josh to coach the kickers. He continues to work closely with the coaching staff in the off-season. As well, assists the team with scouting in the local areas.
Josh’s success as a young athlete guided his decision to choose fitness as a career. Josh is enrolled in the Fitness and Health Promotions for Fall 2014. Josh is committed to ongoing learning and self-development with the core objective of helping individuals reach and excel beyond their goals
