" Had to order two nightstands online. After my trying to call the store directly 18 times. The answering service won't put you on hold. And the website doesn't offer the option of picking up items at the store so had to pay $40 for delivery which l didn't even want. Service with this company is the worst I've ever experienced. I can order large items through Amazon and no delivery fee. Their stuff is beautiful but comes with great hassle. Crate and barrel much easier to order with. "

" Love the design team! They were very helpful and encouraging through the design process. Made things a lot easier to pick. We bought quite a bit from this store. The products are well made. They gave me good ideas and solid advice.
Only thing I’d say is given how expensive and good quality the furniture is, it would make sense if they included delivery for your large items like dining tables and couches. "

" I called the store to ask some questions about a dining table I was interested in ordering. The girl I spoke to was helpful in answering my questions. I told her I would have a discussion with my husband and then call back to place my order. I tried to call back several times and was constantly hung up on once connected. I finally got through asked the same girl some other questions regarding delivery and told her I would call back again. Well that was well over a week ago and I have tried several times to call back and order and again every time I'm connected I am hung up on. The closest I got was last Saturday. I was finally connected. The same girl I spoke to previously answered. I said hello "girls name" I'm not sure if you remember me, we spoke last weekend about ordering said dining table. She HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN! I tried back again a few times and then decided to take my business elsewhere. They could have made a $3500 sale off me for 5 minutes on the phone but instead they are rude and just hang up on anyone that calls. I have since ordered a comparable (if not nicer) product that cost me less money, included a protection plan and offered free shipping. I don't recommend trying to buy anything from this store unless you can go in person. "

" Very disappointing service. I came in with a budget to spend on the redecorating of 2 rooms, and after 3 attempts could not even get 1 of the 6 sales associates to give me a moment. I caught one Associate putting a tray back on a shelf and asked if she could help me as I knew which pieces I wanted. She told me that she was "busy returning stock to the floor", I asked if she could maybe direct me to someone who would be available - she said they were all busy and I could just order online or call in my order. Like hell I will. I just went and spent my 8k at Crate and Barrel and they were happy to spend the time with me, and take my money. Good bye West Elm. "

" Beautifully designed furniture but most of the items are overpriced. Cons: nonexistent Canadian website and very few employees are able to provide good customer service. I basically am not acknowledged unless I ask a question. The one person who did ask me for help was holding a pop up plant sale and I ended up buying. Pros: appealing merchandising and you can place orders over the phone. The dining table and chairs I purchased arrived sooner than projected. I added the white glove service for this which was great but all items do not need it, use your judgement. "

" I do like their stuff. this is my third time to buy from them. first i bought a coffee table, second time was my office desk and now I am waiting for my end table. for the coffee table i was lucky they had it in stock. for my office desk i had to wait 3 weeks and for the other one it has been a week now. I didn't have any problem calling them (thank god i didn't have the same experience that everyone talking about) but the people in store are not that knowledgeable or helpful! can't say all of them but i can say 3 out of 4! but i did like their stuff and i am happy with my purchases. "
