The concept for 50 National Treasures is to engage our community.
Imagine this... you are asked to list our treasures, what is it that is important to you about the country you belong to? What is it that you can identify with that draws you home. What is iconic to our small island nation?
Answer these and you are on the way to determining some of our treasures.
A treasure may be a song, a bird, a flower, a mountain, it could be Takutea or Suwarrow or even One-foot Island (Tapuae tai).
The treasure could be a person, perhaps Rugby League great Kevin Iro, or world No.1 Netball goalshoot Margharet Matenga.
We want to hear from you! Post a photo or write a short description on what you think some of our National Treasures should be. We can't wait to see what we all come up with :)
