For the Brazilian band, see Cascabulho (band)Cascabulho is a village in the northern part of the island of Maio in Cape Verde. Its 2010 population was 204. It is located 15 km northeast of the island capital Vila do Maio, further north is Terras Salgadas once used to mine salt now a protected area. In around 2009, the eastern road became paved and Cascabulho had its marking there.Somewhat a kilometer to the southeast and to the south are the acacia woods, the largest on the island and one of them, the remainder continues to be barren and grassland.It is home to the football (soccer) club Real Marítimo and has a football (soccer) field first constructed in the mid-2000s. The club won their only title, the Champion's Cup. The club spend only a season at the Premier Division for 2017 and was relegated, the club will spend the following season in the Second Division.
