" I actually went when Tchecka (the owner) was away (playing a gig in Portugal..), & when the owners of "O Jardim do Vinho" were taking care of the place in the meantime. So I will leave a similar review. Although the cheapest hotel/bed-n-breakfast in town that I could find, this place is well beyond many others regarding its qualities. Price, in 2014, is 4000 Escudos, circa 40€, per night for a double room, breakfast included. The staff are lovely, facilities running fine and very clean, food and drinks are great (and cheap). Serge gives amazing & very clear indications & tips abt the town, the island, the country, etc. Cherry on top, the Ka Tcheka is not "just" a hotel but also a musical venue where some awesome local musicians come to play while you can enjoy super yummy local food & drinks. Not to be missed!
