University of Cyprus enables the opportunity to study and become part of the Oil and Gas industry through the Masters in Petroleum Engineering. The program was established in 2013. The degree is academically administrated by the Hydrocarbon Committee and granted by the Engineering School of the University of Cyprus. Masters in Petroleum Engineering is giving the opportunity for people with background in both Engineering or Sciences to become familiar and specialized in the Hydrocarbon‘s industry. Students who will graduate from this program will be able to become suitable candidates for employment within the upstream sector of Oil and Gas industry. The program is planned to give acceptance for up to 40 students per year. Any full time student will be able to complete the relevant course work and the final project in 12 months (September to September). The course is also available for part-time students with duration of 2 years. . Though the program is mainly based on core courses and is designed to be complete on the subjects, as it develops with the recruiting of local faculty and as the number of students’ increases, courses are subject to change based on industry demands and the requirements of regulatory and administrative bodies.
