As students who spent important years at the American Academy Nicosia, we remember it as such a caring community that felt like a family. The Academy takes you in just as you are, not cutting off your edges, not conforming to the norms but investing in your development and maturity, in helping you reach your full potential by discovering yourself and exceeding your boundaries.
It is a place with a heart that hugs, that shows no discrimination and doesn’t worry about colour or shape but strives to build up, to encourage, to support, to stretch, to challenge and to realise dreams.
We remember too that the Academy is a hill not a valley, it is a push and not a pull. We were encouraged to climb and then jump, ready to fly, thoroughly equipped through all our years under it’s care.
