The University of Nicosia, Department of Language and Literature offers two degree courses a BA in Language and Literature and an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language. We also oversee all language courses at UNIC through the Centre of Modern Languages. We have a highly qualified and dedicated international faculty with extensive teaching and research careers.

Our BA in English Language and Literature is a four-year course that has been fully accredited and successful since 2005. This degree is now offered with concentrations and gives prospective students the opportunity to specialise either in Linguistics and TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) or in Literature. The degree is also offered in the Distance Learning format.

Our MA TESOL is also fully accredited and can be completed in a three semester cycle. It is also available on campus and through the Distance Learning format.
