Mesoyios College is a private institution of tertiary education, transformation of the Mesoyios Institute of Career Advancement which leads the vocational training in the hospitality industry of Cyprus since 1998.

Mesoyios College is founded with main aim to provide education opportunities and lifelong learning to young people starting their journey of vocational rehabilitation through acquisition of knowledge and skills, to unemployed young people who want expand their options for vocational rehabilitation as well as to unemployed professionals constantly seeking for new vocational knowledge and skills for further development and professional growth. Further, MesoyiosCollegeisfoundedto provide opportunities through quality education and training to support the wider economic, social and community development.

The college begins its operations in a dynamic and fluid environment which exerts pressure changes in the nature and delivery of services to different customer segments. The main factor driving these changes is the global economic downturn and its impact on curriculum delivery and business services.

Within this economic recession environment and the depressed ability of tourists to spend for their holidays in comparison to the pre-recession era, the hotel industry of Cyprus, over the last two years, shows signs of recovery with tourist arrival indicators to show 10 % increase in 2011 and 15-17% increase in 2013. The upward trend, however, does not allow the hotel and tourism enterprises to rest assured. Instead, hoteliers are constantly looking for ways to maintain and further develop the tourism in Cyprus, such as entering new markets, upgrade their touristic products, proper staffing of their business and the further development of their human capital.

At this very time the foundation of Mesoyios College comes to empower the efforts of the hotel, catering and tourism enterprises, claiming a leadership role:

* In producing quality professionals who will be ready to join, contribute and lead theiremployer's effort for further improvement of their tourism products and services.

* In the constant training and development of the existing workforce in order to contribute actively and constructively towards achieving their employers'objectives.

* The training of unemployed in hotel occupations aimingin meeting the needs of the hotel industry in human resources as well as strengthening the containment efforts of unemployment which seemshaving an upward trend due to the economic downturn.

Mesoyios College begins its operations in September 2013 with the School of Hotel Management (SHM), an "ideal hotel school" as it has been defined by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus. The reason lays on the fact that our School of Hotel Management is the ONLY hotel school in Cyprus based in a 4-star hotel, thus providing to its students a real-world environment within which they can develop knowledge, skills and hands-on vocational experiences.

Although SHM starts in 2013 with two diploma and two higher diploma programs, there are further plans under process to introduce a bachelor's degree in 2014 and a master's degree in 2015.

Further to SHM, Mesoyios College's short term plans include the opening of another two schools in 2014. The School of Fine Arts with a degree program in Musicology and the School of Finance and Accounting which will be training students to obtain professional accounting and finance titles like ACCA, ICAEW, CAT, CFA and CPD.
