" Went for the halloween experience. Awesome time. The characters touch you and grab you as well as throw you in boxes. Fun time. "

" We went for the finale day of their Halloween event. It was a lot of fun. The monsters do get very hands on. The castle its self is some cool ruins. "

" I went there with friends for Halloween night and had such an awesome time and I can't recommend it enough. The people dressed as monsters and ghouls will grab you and have some fun with you, and as happened to me, put you in a coffin, but its all good fun.
We got the park and ride bus which was very full but still a really good service.
Its was super busy but I think that's only to be expected. "

" Went in October during the 40 year anniversary of the haunted castle. Was an awesome experience. Note they will grab/touch you, if pulled on stage they will embarrass you, and girls can literally be pulled away, but all in good fun. I highly recommend going and suggest V. I. P. tickets and order in advance. Worth the money and convince. "

" Loved how easy this was to find and the parking lot right at the castle. Lovely ruins that you could wander around at will with views overlooking nearby Darmstadt. Definitely something a little eerie but cool about the place. Walking trail also available. "

" Your results may vary, but we ventured up on a misty winter day, and the ambience really made the place fun to explore. It's small, so don't expect a lot, and it's self-service with limited information available...but it's also a cool place to take pictures. "

" Great views and you sertainly feel the history of this place. My German friends says they host the scariest Halloween party here....Very cool spot for a frosty Pfungstadter on the patio overlooking the German countryside. "

" This was such an enchanting experience. When we arrived we were the only tourists. It was mid-winter so everything was frosted over. It was so incredible to explore this sight alone and in such a wonderful setting. I would absolutely recommend stopping here if you are traveling in the area. "

" Halloween at Burg Frankenstein runs on weekends during October, usually through the first weekend of November. Zombies, werewolves and other monsters wonder the castle grounds while you walk through. Unlike Halloween Haunt events in America these creatures are allowed to touch you so be prepared! It's most fun in a small group. You park about 15 minutes away (or take the train) and a free shuttle bus takes you to the castle. Fest style themed food and Drink are available on site and it's always busy. Tickets are available online and do sell out. The VIP experience is expensive but includes a buffet and place to sit down. Families are encouraged to go on Sunday. Friday and Saturday and adult oriented. "
