" Don’t use this company! They feed you wrong information, have horrible customer service. We waited in the lobby where the representative told us to wait and waited for 45 minutes ( this is a long time especially with a 4yo, 2yo, and 4 month old) to learn they went to a different meeting spot than what was told to us and marked us as a no show. I might have gotten past that part except for the fact when I called the response I got from the office was that I waited to long to call (mind you the day before we waited in lobby for 30 minutes and was picked up there). When I told them all of this all that was said was sorry but you are a no show you will have to wait another hour for a representative to speak with you and then hung up the phone. When I called back I finally got to speak with another representative and was told the same thing although they did get me to Wellington who has given us a 15 minute window in the middle of our day to speak with him. (Way to ruin a full day of our vacation!) I will not be booking anything moving forward with Amstar and suggest that everyone do the same if you don’t want your trip to be interrupted. "

" We used this company to do a shopping trip as we had not been to the island before and were not comfortable going out on our own. We have done the free shopping trips like this in other locations so we expected to have a sales pitch of some type before getting to shop. Here it was cigars, which was neat to see how they were made, but we don't smoke so were just ready to shop when that part was over. Unfortunately the place has only a small jewelry store, typical souvenir shop, small rum shop, cafe and chocolate shop. Everyone was done within 30-45 min yet we were stuck sitting there for another 45 min till they dropped the next round off. It was a waste of 3hrs and would have been better off getting a cab for some real shopping. "

" Do not use.... They put us in a van at the airport and we waited for 45 minutes to an hour. We kept asking them when we were leaving for our resort and they would tells us 5 more minutes. After waiting in the heat we got our bags and walked to find a taxi. Not the way you want to start your vacation!!!! Gentlemen were very rube and started laughing at us trying to find a taxi.. "

" My wife and I spent a week from hell in punta cana. The one highlight to the trip was Amstar. They handled all of our travel, to and from the airport, and on an excursion. All of the people we dealt with were great, more than helpful, and very professional. We had enough b.s. to deal with from the "resort", it was nice not to have to worry about travel in a unknown place. If we ever go back, we damn sure won't stay in the same place, but we will definitely use Amstar for our travel needs. "

" Had a great experience with our Amstar reps to and from the hotel and excursions. We stayed at the Now Onyx and loved William and Lenny as well as Wilson who took us to the orphanage. Nothing but professional and helpful! "

" The two was good and inform as to the the activities; however, she gave us the wrong pick up time for our shuttle back to the airport and we had to pay for our own cab back. Hope we don't miss our flight. If we do, this 3 will become1. "

" Terrible experience, stayed at hard rock hotel in punta cana. The rep was gone the day before we had to go home looked in the book left on his desk for departing customers and was told to be at the lobby at 10 am for airport transfer. Go to see him in the morning at 8:50 am to let him know we were ready, he tells us your bus left at 8:40 am! So he then tells me I'm basically screwed better go get a taxi for 50 dollars and make it to the airport because they can't have no shows. The teller at checkout tells me I'm the 3rd one that morning who missed their business with that company. Poorly ran, no American phone reps, and terrible employees. You couldn't pay for my next vacation to do business with these people again! Stay away do yourself a favor "
