Don't be fooled this is NOT a safari
You start off by stopping next to a school no option to get off etc then you stop 50 yards or so down the road where they get all the outback merchandise out for you to purchase
Then you visit a few plantations with options to purchase then stop for lunch then go to beach for 40 minutes then get back an hour earlier than what you are told
No off-road or forest experience like a SAFARI should be
The tui rep said it says outback safari but they can call it what they like so thanks to tui we don't get the experience we wanted for our daughters - who wanted to go back to hotel by 11.30 as they were quite fed up "

" If you want to experience the Dominican life of the locals, you must book this trip!! Great tour guide; Leandro and Cesar takes care of you...pickup is early at 8ish so have breakfast. But after they will take you to a beautiful mountain range where you can enjoy the spectacular views while they feed you food. Also happy hour is all day on this trip as they will provide you water, beer, liquor throughout the whole trip!! They will also take you too various plantations. I learned so much about the DOMINICAN culture from this tour.
Not to mention the money raised from the trip helps funds kids schooling and goes back to the Locals. "

" My family and I just went on an Outback Safari excursion and loved everything down to the last minute we got off the bus! Our guide Lehandro and our driver, Wilson, were the best and I highly recommend both of them! This was a wonderful learning experience. We got out of the resort and learned what the Dominican republic really is! We learned about how they make coffee, sugar, chocolate, cocoa butter, coconut oil, and cigars and visited farms and learned which fruit and plants help fight digestive problems, arthritis, and help the body fight off sickness. The thing i enjoyed most was being able to go into one of the homes to see there way of life and how they live. I wanted to really learn more about the Dominican people and this really helped understand and appreciate life, nature and the Dominican people a whole lot better. Best experience My family and I have ever had. Thanks Wilson & Lehandro hasta luego! "
