" This place was amazing and glad I can mark it off my bucketlist! We did el Limon day tour and David was amazing! Love the people and the culture. This place is definitely for someone who enjoys nature and active enough to walk a bit. But a great time. Words can't explain! "

" I was looking for a different type of vacation experience and that is exactly what i got. Waking up in the jungle among the trees and wildlife is a dream come true. Besides the location (they pretty much have their own private beach) the highlight of the trip was the people! Food was good, excursions were great, will definitely be back! "

" This was an absolutely amazing experience. There were 20 couples in our group and the Dominican Tree House Village and Bart (the owner) took care of every single detail. From the excursions to the food to the entertainment this was absolutely the best vacation we have ever been on. Trust me, this trip is a trii of a lifetime. Book it and you’ll never regret it. "

" I had an incredible time at the Dominican Tree House Village. As someone who's been traveling non-stop for 9 years, it's not easy to impress me but this place did it!

Waking up in the jungle felt so fresh and charged me with great energy every morning.

I loved the digital detox I had there and met some really cool and like-minded travelers.

DTHV has a gorgeous backyard waterfall and is within a 20-min walk from a beautiful and calm beach where you can have a fantastic lunch (fish caught right from the ocean that morning) at a local beach restaurant.

The rooms at DTHV are super cozy. You've got all the comfort and safety of a luxury hotel room, yet you're among the trees and can listen to the rain at night.

The staff is extremely friendly, warm, and open. They cooked vegetarian dishes for me, taught me to dance, and told me a whole lot about local culture. "

" If you want a full on retreat getaway to someplace cool next to a waterfall with a staff that goes out of their way to make you feel like family and a tropical Caribbean beach with local fare and all of 20 visitors a day..... maybe..... then this is your spot in the world...... I'll go back again and again..... like your own little swiss family Robinson place....... and they provide all day excursions also...... if you wanna leave..... which you might debate doing. "

" Came to the tree house not really knowing what to expect, but the whole experience was something I could never predict. Upon arrival and throughout our stay, the entire staff was very friendly, personable, and easily willing to accommodate.

The Tree House Village works closely with the locals and communities nearby, so you get a nice balance between exposing yourself to the Dominican cultural while also experiencing a level of adventure and luxury. Prior to coming here, I heard that there would be games and communal activities at night, which I didn't expect much of. However, the secludedness of the village makes it easy to meet and become friendly with other guests, so you look forward to these nightly get-togethers just as much as you would look forward to the excursions. As drinks were flowing, we played unique card games, practiced walking on tight-ropes, and danced with the staff.

I can't emphasize enough how down-to-earth and personable the staff here are. We had multiple conversations with them where they were open and honest about the strengths and weaknesses of the village and community life, which was refreshing to experience. It felt like I was talking to real people, not robotic people-pleasers, whom I could have easy and open conversations with. It made us look forward to spending time with them each day, which as a frequent traveler myself, have not experienced in any other resort-type place. To be honest about the downsides, we learned that the Dominican government does not allow bodies of water to be owned, so as a result there are multiple people in the vicinity who will consistently try to sell you things. We had one man who we originally believed to be part of the Tree House give us drinks, later asking us to pay for it. As soon as I had brought this to the staff's attention, they were immediately off to correct the issue. No complaint is taken as an offense as they are eager to correct any issues on the property. My advice to future clients is to be just as open and honest with feedback as the staff will be with you.

I highly recommend the ATV and zipline excursions. Views of the local towns and the scenery is unbelievably hard to put in words. It's something you have to truly see for yourself in order to believe it! Half of my pictures were so beautiful, it looked fake. There's also a waterfall next to the property which is a must-see. My biggest regret is not being able to do the city tour with David. He exposes you to so much of the food, history, and culture of the city of Samana that it cannot be missed.

I would recommend to bring a small bottle of mosquito repellent. They do fumigate the property, but during our stay it rained almost every night and resulted in many mosquito bites and a fun little encounter with a tarantula! Overall, this Tree House Village is a unique experience that you wouldn't regret. The food is fresh and amazing and you'll have indescribable experiences that you will never forget. And side note, do not forget to have the hot chocolate. As an American, you will never taste fresher hot chocolate, and if you can buy it, DO IT!

Highly suggest the VIP rooms for the isolation and very cool outdoor showers. Just be prepared to hike, and seriously HIKE, everyday. It seemed like bathrooms will be built into some of the other rooms, so for future contact them first before spending on a VIP. "

" I can't give the Treehouse or the staff there enough stars! My entire family had a fantastic trip! They were so warm and welcoming. The excursions were some of the best we have ever been on. There isn't a negative thing to say about our stay. Kristina was prompt in answering all my questions prior to arriving which helped make our first family trip smooth. My husband and I were so impressed with the warm showers. We've traveled many places and stayed at another treehouse that didn't have such a simple luxury. The food was well above what we expected as well. Thank you again to everyone at the treehouse!! We can't wait to go back and visit! "

" This place is off the hook with great service, good food and staying in the treehouse in the jungle was truly a one-of-a-kind experience. They encourage a real sense of family and friendship and so we were able to meet other guests from all over the world. We had a blast with all of them and made new friends. Will be back for sure, with the kids next time! "

" It is hard to even describe that feeling when you first arrive. It is a piece of paradise and the staff is truly amazing! Bart, he is the owner, makes sure he gets to meet EVERY guest that stays here. The Dominican people are some of the most humble and kind natured people and you feel this upon arrival. I hurt my back TRYING to surf, and the massage specialist took time out of her day off to come in the evening to work on my back. You can't get this kind of experience at an all-inclusive resort where all you do is sit by the pool and only go to "their beach". You get to take one of the treehouses many cruiser bikes and mingle with the locals on the way to a beautiful secluded beach where you can have fresh caught fish, rice, pina coladas and papas fritas! Pictures can't do this place justice. I can't wait to go back! "

" The Dominican Tree House Village is the vacation we all don't know we needed until we leave. To say the least my experience here was refreshing. Without internet or service all the guests (including myself) were able to not only connect with the staff or each other, but to enjoy our adventures even better. I honestly think that this feature, that to some may seem bad, helped create the family environment at the Tree House Village that many love.

The resort is located in the jungle outside Samana and is near various small villages and a short bike ride from a quiet beach. Having grown up on three different continents I have spent a lot of time traveling and seeing new sights, but honestly this trip may have been my new favorite. Not only was I constantly surrounded by fresh and beautiful sights, but the staff really made the stay memorable. Their customer service was great (my boyfriend and I had trouble scheduling transportation - which was included on our package - because we had decided to wander around somewhere else before heading over, they were extremely helpful and patient the entire trip) and everybody made you feel at home.

I just have to point out that the staff here is amazing. The kitchen staff truly cares about you and will accommodate any needs you have (ie. you missed breakfast or are hungry). The tour guides are all friendly and will introduce you to other natives and help you try new foods and experiences. The towns people were very sweet and helpful (one of the ATVs we were with didn't have lights so the townspeople rode next to them with their motorcycles and shone phone lights to lead the way).

Management was very friendly and fun as well. Each member was very unique and enjoyable, and they all had their own backgrounds that helped you relate to them more easily. Within an hour of arrival management and other staff would come by and introduce themselves, they were very friendly and polite and made me feel very comfortable. I noted on the first day that each member on the staff was particularly skilled in something, the team here was made up of vary diverse people who only shared the same sense of adventure but expressed it in different forms with different quirks. I believe this brilliant design was what helped so many people feel welcome and at home here, everybody is bound to meet somebody who can relate to them best or that they share interests with. And I think that was a unusual perk for a resort (most I have been to don't let their staff chat with you, let alone have staff that you can have intriguing conversations with).

Honestly the DTHV was the vacation I hadn't realized I needed and I definitely recommend it for anybody who needs a week away from the world! It is extremely safe, friendly, and relaxing to be here and I will definitely look forward to going back sometime! "

" An absolutely amazing experience!! The staff are incredibly nice and helpful and there is a lot to do in the area! The village offers to arrange adventures around the Samana Peninsula, my girlfriend and I went Whale Watching, did an ATV beach tour, and a hike to El Limon waterfall, all of which were unforgettable experiences. If you are looking to be pampered and waited on, this is not the place for you. But if you like adventures and meeting interesting and engaging people and immersing yourself in the local culture, then look no further Dominican Treehouse village. 10/10 would go again!! "
