" After my bad experience with Dominican Tours I decided that I will not drive all over the city to locate an agency offering excursions another time. The website, etc looked promising hence I visited their office.
The office itself is big but the employees seem not to be very motivated to get some clients as I was being sent to the last office and upon my request which excursions are possible the same week they told me that there are none which are confirmed yet and they need at least 10 clients for each excursion to happen at all.
Taking my experiences into account I decided not to waste more time and was looking for a different company. And it definately was not a communication problem as I speak spanish fluently. "

" Yesterday, I went on a group tour to visit La Zona Colonial with Colonial Tours & Travel.
During the tour, from time to time, the tour guide felt the need to mention that Dominican people are of mixed skin tones which was irrelevant, unnecessary and low class.
At some point, he told me that I was pretty which was very UNprofessional.
To make matters worse, during lunchtime, there was a table reserved only for 8 people but we were 9. Instead of fixing the situation, the tour guy pulls me to the side and tries to have me sit on a table apart from the group. I felt isolated and EXcluded and unwanted.
I left and complained to the office.
La companía sigue diciendo que la situación ayer ocurrió porque había hecho mi reserva en el último minuto pero la verdad, la realidad es que fue discriminación y injusticia y falta de respeto y racismo.
I know that the tour guy behaved in such a LOW life manner because he knows that I'm from Haiti.
What he doesn't know is that I hold Master of Laws degree in Human Rights and I do not tolerate injustice, racism and discrimination. "
