Look what we found on the Rainbow Reef, thanks to our eagle-eye Dive Master Bose Mitchell. This is the Black and Gold Sapsucking Nudi, perhaps the "queen of all nudibranchs". Even a rare find in Indonesia....super stoked!!

Another epic day on the rainbow reef with a sighting of one of the rarest critters in the sea.....a ghost pipe fish, the Robust to be exact. Ghost pipefish are the only member of the family in which the female carries the eggs as opposed to sea horses and other pipe fish species.
We have observed their patterns over the years and warmer water temps seem to be their cue for coming out of hiding to look for a mate.
Here at Taveuni Ocean Sports we are all fish geeks and could go on and on about this unique fish...but we'll spare you so you can just look at the pretty pictures!
