" Overcharged for clearance items. Noticed when I got home so returned them next day and asked for refund or credit note. I was told I couldn't exchange or credit as they were non-refundable ("store specific policy") due to being clearance items. But the sticker on items showed clearance price, the receipt showed I'd been overcharged at the till. The young female member of staff was not fit to be in a customer facing position, the young male sales advisor was no better (interferred and tried to bully me out of my rightful exchange), finally the manageress was nearly as bad, once she'd finally finished her lunch and eventually turned up. I stood my ground, remained polite, finally got my "45 days no quibble refund" as advertised on the sales receipt) but only after digging in my heels and refusing to walk away empty handed. Wasted over half an hour of my time, arguing the injustice and all over a few pounds. Sad! You pay peanuts, you get monkeys. Sort it out B&Q Barnstaple. Align your products with the tills, educate some of your staff or get better ones. "
