I started up Blades Barbers in 2001 and could clearly see a gap in the market for a luxurious and comfortable, yet masculine, haircutting experience that was for men only as opposed to the traditional unisex approach.

Men were seeking, and continue to seek, an enjoyable and relaxing haircut or shave, in a comfortable environment, as far removed from the perming lotions and colourings of the unisex shop, as it is from the impersonal experience of some of the traditional barber shops
