" Well laid out and really historic railway station. Good facilities for snacks and beverages. Car parking is a bit of a problem.
Update. The station is undergoing a major refurbishment having a new roof. There is currently a major disruption scaffolding everywhere but it will look good when it's finished. The staff are absolutely amazing coping with this and providing all the information that you need "

" Carlisle Station is in the heart of the city centre. It has friendly and helpful staff, plenty of passenger trains from different companies with good connections to the main cities of London, Newcastle, Glasgow and Manchester. Whilst you're waiting around there's refreshments and shops to keep you going. The architecture of the station is fantastic. For trainspotters, railtours and freight trains may turn up. Best to check before making a visit! "
