" I have been shopping in Dibles for over 30 years. Firstly because I was doing a City and Guilds course in curtain making and upholstery. I then went onto run a curtain making business with a friend. I have always had excellent service from them. Everyone is so knowledgeable resulting in being able to find the fabric which is ‘just perfect’. Their prices are competitive and service friendly. We have also over the years used Dibles to carpet our house. Again, excellent and knowledgeable service from their staff made the purchase and subsequent fitting go like a dream.
I would highly recommend D&R to anyone wanting to purchase materials, curtains, and carpets.

" It is beyond me - when reading so many good reviews about this wonderful 'Family Run Business ' - how incredibly rude and unhelpful the male 'owner?' was when I purchased some curtain poles.
On Jan 4th I was assisted by a very helpful young lady who sorted my order for 4 curtain poles. As she was writing up the details I asked if I could just peruse the fabulous selection of fabrics and when I came back to the desk she had got involved with another customer. I waited for some time and eventually asked the man (who had ignored me rather than offer help) if he could take my payment. He was unhelpful and short and seemed unwilling to answer questions I had regarding cutting the poles to size and the distance from the wall of the supports. To be honest, I very nearly left without purchasing the poles.
I contacted the shop 4 days later to amend one pole from 1.8m to 2m and received a polite response from Camilla to say she had sorted it.
When I returned 10 days later to collect the poles with my husband, the man was in the shop alone and for some reason seemed instantly hostile and unhelpful. Eventually I reached a cut off point where I told him he should not be so rude. The ensuing exchange resulted in my husband intervening and advising him that he should never speak to ANY customer in that manner. We were simply spending £180 on curtain poles ....how could it have escalated into such an uncomfortable exchange?
We asked his name - which he refused to give.
Customer service is everything......and he had no grace. "
