" Food was amazing and so was the gin menu.... I kept asking for certain gins however, and they didn't have them, this was several. The tall guy who had an extensive knowledge of gin and garnish coupling was great but when we got to the til the (what seemed to be) the manager gave us a cold response as he took our payment. Each to their own eh! "

" Firstly the place and concept is amazing it's an alternative gem in an otherwise unoriginal landscape with only hell and below able to offer the up Market alternative experience this does.. the menu and drink offerings are superbly done and presented and the rustic nature of the bar complements and achieves exactly what I presume the owners intended..however the reason for the 3 star review is due to the food now I'm far from a food critic and am fully aware that you can catch what essentially is a bad day for the kitchen or even choose something from the menu that doesn't necessarily represent the quality of the rest of the menu. However the meal me and my partner chose; if only one word was needed to describe them the word would be bland completely lacking in taste and dry there was no sauce the chips came plain as the night is dark and the burger whilst having so much potential was simply boring with no taste I ordered a monster mac .. and was expecting a truly authentic amercian experience similar to an establishment called 'almost famous' in Manchester which is a similar price bracket..to conclude awesome place would I come back... yes I would happily spend an entire day drinking away with the atmosphere and drink offerings however I wouldnt...eat here again....just to add the staff genuinely asked if I enjoyed the food to which I was honest and open and explained I loved the place.just not the food and.. and they knocked my food off the bill.. which certainly wasn't my intention as for the sake of 12 pound I'd rather had enjoyed my meal... but customer service like that is rarely seen today so yeah "
