" PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY THEY ARE TOO INCONSISTENT. I spent £1800 alot of money for 2 weeks over Xmas and new year. The place was good to start with until 1- found food in the grill, 2- found two sewing needles in the carpet ( we have a baby), 3- the place had fleas. My wife and oldest daughter had little red marks all over their legs. We asked to be moved as we didnt want our kids in the bungalow. We were only offered accommodation below what we'd paid for. When I questioned this they said all their property's were booked. NO CHANCE. Moved out on new years eve with all the kids presents, re pack the bags a night mare. The place we had to settle for was 300£ cheaper and all we got was a 50£ refund. Apparently they sent a pest control guy In and they said it was fine BUT THEY DIDN'T RENT IT FOR A FEW WEEKS. A friend of mine is a vet and confirmed they were flea bites. Whatever the response is to this from HOfTL. Please believe me. THEY ARE A TERRIBLE COMPANY TRY THE COPPERMINES THEY ARE BRILLIANT AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. "

" I have stayed with HoTL many times but their lack of customer care when we asked a manager to speak to us about one or two solvable issues, slight refund or an apology, fell on deaf ears; hence the one star review. We are booking with Cumbrian Cottages and Owner's Direct for next year. "
