" When in Hexham, don't miss the Abbey. Its beautiful and amazing, with terrific history behind it. The new Visitor Centre there is well worth a visit. Plus, don't forget the Refectory Cafe. The home made cheese scones and fruit scones (especially loaded with cream and jam) are delicious. "

" A great Abbey and a very friendly staff. A very helpful young lady met me as i entered and provided a good run down of the abbey, even told me to hurry as a group was about to go into the crypt. Well worth the time and I enjoyed the very interesting Saxon crypt. Thanks guys "
