" Lovely gym, been coming for 6 years and the place keeps getting better. Amazing staff who always want to help, train with an incredible trainer called Luke Eskesen who has completely transformed my body. Amazing rapport with the reception and floor staff too, Katie is a blast and always puts a smile on your face (especially if you're embarrassing yourself by falling off equipment). So easy to get in, get what you need to get done and hop off home. Highly recommend! "

" Recently cancelled my membership after 7 years. Due to their business model being in decline a number of clubs nearby closed and they migrated the members to the High Holborn resulting in a increase in overall members by over 30% - causing a dangerously overcrowded environment that's impossible to train effectively in. The members from the closed clubs are on a much cheaper membership than existing High Holborn member which was acknowledged by staff although they aren't willing to offer the same membership price to all even after the reduced quality of the branch.
Aside from the overcrowding, it would appear staff don't keep the place tidy anymore and no effort is made to promote good gym etiquette. You regularly see members misusing the equipment and showing no consideration for others in their vicinity. On the day I left I found loose electrical wiring hanging from the celling in a shower cubical.
Fitness First even tried to make me pay an additional months membership fee as they said I needed to get a months notice. Shame it's deteriorated so much. "
