" The priory ruins are by the sea giving them a more romantic setting compared with other priorys in the UK. It's the ancient seat of Christianity in England and the home to the early medieval saints. "

" Lindisfarne Priory is a stunning English Heritage location. Very fun to explore and is very photographic when not busy.
For history lovers the visitor centre has a information packed museum which can be browsed along with visiting the priory. The visitor centre also houses a English Heritage shop selling a range of products from pocket money items to local items and jewellery. "

" We didn't go inside because we didn't deem the entry fee worth it - which is probably true. Much of the old priory is visible from the outside and that gives a pretty good overall picture of how the structure has once looked.
An impressive piece of history which will hopefully survive a few more decades. "

" Good place for a quick day drive. Church is absolute Serene. Havent felt that in any other "touristy" churches. "
