" Very abusive parking rules! Got a fine for not parking straight into the parking space while staying there in an empty car park for 1h! We were parked 20cm away from the line which had zebra on either side! Price is ridiculous... they have to pay the guy that look on his computer all day long to find who can get a fine I guess. NCP Car park? Never again ! "

" It's a car park, what more can you say really. I parked my car in it. Well you can say a bit more.. On the plus side: It's in a decent location near Micklegate, fairly easy enough to manoeuvre around in, I had no problems finding a space, pay on exit with the machine on the ground floor. On the negative side, the lift we used was pretty small (you'd have problems with a double buggy), it was pretty dirty also loads of rubbish lying around, and it was REALLY expensive (7.50 for just over an hour). I tend to use Marygate car park which is a cheaper (2.20 an hour) and you get a nice walk through the museum gardens to/from your car. The cheapest car parks are Morrisons or Waitrose at Foss Islands, free for 2 hours for customers (pop in and buy a banana). Its a 10 minute walk from there to the shambles. When you get there you can enjoy your banana. "
