" I arrived at the The House Clinic in Redland Road convinced the pains in my ankles, knees and lower back were due to wear and tear of old age, especially my knees. Hoping for the fact to be confirmed and to just take it easier due to my age. I left an hour later after having a wonderful consultation with Jonathan Cook who took time and care over my concerns. After a full examination and manipulation of joints, he gave me a written report informing me that one leg was slightly shorter than the other and because of having flat feet (he used medical term) I was walking in a way that was damaging my body. He suggested Orthotics inserts to solve the problem.
I went back a few days later to have the shoe Orthotics insert, fitted, which can be changed from shoe to shoe. Jonathan took time and care to make sure they were correctly fitted.
Well within ten minutes of wearing them the next day I was blown away by the difference. I walked taller, I walked straighter, the pains were easing. After a couple of days I did not know I was wearing the inserts an all of my pains were gone.
In very simple terms the best money I have ever spent.

" I saw Sophie for an ingrowing toenail problem and she was amazing! I had previously seen 3 other Podiatrists to no avail and had multiple courses of antibiotics. Sophie took great care in making sure I was comfortable and completely calmed my nerves. She cut back the nail spike so gently that I barely felt a thing. It is now 3 months on and my toe is completely back to normal and it only cost me £35! Sophie is very professional, caring and friendly. I could not recommend her highly enough. The Clinic on the whole is very laid back and friendly, even the other therapists, who weren't treating me, were welcoming and said hello in passing. A great Clinic to visit. "

" I've had ongoing back pain on & off for the best part of 17 years. I've seen 3 previous chiropractors & osteopaths all with varying degrees of success. This has been my worst back problem & being new to Bristol wasn't sure who to see. It was a simple Google search that lead me to Jonathan. After intial treatments twice a week where I found a good response to treatments I began to feel the treatments were very much the same with no specific targeting & the recovery stalled. I remained in various stages of pain yoyoing from good to bad for 6 months between 1 & 2 treatments a week before deciding to return to a previous chiropractor (who I'd stopped seeing because of the distance required to see them) where I found my back responding to treatment & that the wrong area of the back had been treated. This in the end was not the right place for me or my problem. John is a very nice guy but he does juggle you around whilst seeing other patients leaving you alone straped up often to a tens machine.
Having read a previous review I would say that at all my previous practitioners (2 female, 2 male) have required me to undress to underwear (I am male dispite the crazy username) as they need to see what your back is doing which can't be done covered up. "

I first approached Jonathan when I was in an immense amount of pain, and he very quickly put me at ease and found the right treatments to fix me. Pat working on reception is also extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming too. They offer really flexible appointment times including Saturdays and evenings. "
