" Only been here a couple of hours or so. The rooms are spacious and clean the gym is small but everything you need. All in all very happy and will return... um update, the review above hasnt changed but we just ate in the resturant, I cant recommend it, I had steak that was dry the chips are basically roast potatoes. My starter was olives, pesto and artisan bread, it just dont work it was lacking something. Now my wife had pate starters and lamb main, it was nice but nothing great both tables near us moaned about the food.... the day before we had a bar meal and that was very very nice so for what its worth stick to the bar food and avoid the restaurant. "

" Lovely hotel and wonderful staff but huge shame about the gym. Signed up as a member back in April and turned away three times in the first month because it was overcrowded. Was very dirty and in need of a refit, especially changing rooms. Manager seemed very helpful and understood, said I could cancel membership no problem and gave me details to cancel the direct debit, but now being chased by debt collector despite cancelling within agreed period of 30 days. No reply to correspondence to gym just left to deal with the franchise headquarters. Previously booked my clients into the hotel and had business meetings and events there but won't be doing so anymore. Have since met a lot of other unhappy people locally who signed up, especially folks who supported the gym during the flooding. Tempted to go to the press since no resolution and no joy from direct contact after 6 months of trying to come to resolution. "

" Stayed at the Riverside Hotel recently with our 2 children , after our car was locked in council carpark overnight and we were struggling to find somewhere to stay. Special thanks to Jen at reception who was very welcoming,kind and helpful in our time of need. The hotel was lovely our room was clean with more than enough space for the 4 of us. We had a lovely outlook over the river. Fabulous breakfast. And pool and gym looked great too. Next time we stay we will have to bring our swimming costumes! Thanks again. JKxx "
