" Inside - very good as an upgraded manorial hall. Although the bedroom lights were bright, it was warm and comfortable and the breakfasts were good. Shame about the factory next door, and the village pub was a disappointment so it meant a drive for good food etc. Hard on the C2C cycle track to Whitehaven/Keswick so an easy trip down(hill) to the coast; a steady, easy climb to get back. "
