Sleap has excellent facilities for pilots, pilots in training, and to the general public with a high level restaurant/cafeteria serving great food.
The cafeteria has great views of the airfield, which is an excellent (warm) position to watch departing and inbound aircraft (as well as fine aerobatic displays carried out by Shropshire Aero Clubs own championship winning aerobatic team)
For further interest Sleap Airfield features prominently in the successful TV series Home Fires.
Definitely worth a visit!
